Finally MBS @ PeMANIK is registered !!!

As the Committee Members busy doing the preparation for MBS 1st Gathering on this coming Sunday, we received a very very good news. Alhamdulillah, finally Jabatan Pendaftaran Pertubuhan Selangor has approved our application as a registered society. MBS is now registered as Persatuan Pengusaha & Peminat Manik (PeMANIK) with Registration No. 158-11-SE on 23 March 2011.


Some of the Committee Members were at De Palma In Shah Alam discussing with the hotel on the arrangement for the event when our President, Datin Elly Lillies and Lavendar received a phone call from our Advisor, Imass Seni Jahitan who broke the news. Everybody screamed to their joy upon hearing this. After all hard work & sacrifice finally our dreams come true. I really missed this moment as I just left the hotel few minutes later.


This news comes so timely, juz days before our event - MBS 1st Gathering. So far, we have received an overhelming response from beaders, with 88 (a nice number, good sign) people has registered. So look up for the next post from me on MBS 1s Gathering on 27 March 2011 at De Palma Inn Shah Alam.

Beading - A Stress Therapy

That wuz what posted in Harian Metro, 26 January 2011. An article about a group of ladies (they're all my beading frenz.. !!!) choose beading as their hobby. Other than juz to fill up their free leisure hours, they managed to generate some income from their hobby. And the best part, they known each other for past a year via Facebook.

We normally meet once a week or more, to discuss on our beadworks. We also do share our knowledge among each other on some beading techniques. On top of that, some of us do conduct beading classes for those who are in interested to venture more into beads embroidery.

I wuz not there during the photoshoot, as I had some other appointment to attend. Ho.. ho.. I missed this golden opportunity. I wuz told some of them had even received calls, sms & messages in their FB enquiring about their beading services after their contact numbers and blog links were posted in the article. So can I called them as 'Celeb Beaders'.. ?? Ho ho ho.. i missed the boat (I wannabe the Celeb Beader too, LOL)

Rose Garden

Ju sent me her baju kurung for some beadswork way before Ramadhan and I stitched this Rose Garden design (inspired by Geejai of Art of Beads but I did some alternation) for her. She requested the beadswork for neck area (5 inch length) and for the sleeves.

As she's wearing headscarf, after Hari Raya she sent back her baju kurung to increase the 5" length to 12" length for the neckline, plus extra beadworks for the sleeves.

Linda offered her baju kurung for me to practice my beading skill some time back. Hence, I stitched this design - Scattered Beads with some sequins flowers.
